Netflix confirmed that “Making a Murderer” will be back for a second season. The makers of the show are already working on new episodes that will have crucial details connecting the new season to the pilot season. The release date has not been publicly revealed at the moment.
Back in July 2016, showrunners Moira Demos and Laura Ricciardi said that they were very excited to make a new season since it would coincide with the appeal made by Kathleen Zellner, lawyer of the defendant.
“Making A Murderer” season 2 will focus more on the development of the case of convicted Steven Avery and nephew Brendan Dassey, who were allegedly involved with the killing and rape of Teresa Halbach in 2005. Zellner, Avery’s lawyer, promised to bring new suspects and forensic evidences that would finally release the convicted.
