Investigators from the Michigan State Police Alpena Post and the Alcona County Sheriff’s Department need your help in solving a case from 1994. Both forces are trying to identify human remains that were found in northern Michigan 23 years ago.
The remains were discovered by a bow hunter in a wooded area near Bamfield Road between Curtisville and the Alcona Dam in Alcona County. Michigan State University anthropologist claims the remains are that of a Caucasian female, 30 to 50 years old.
Evidence shows a fracture to the skull indicates she may have experienced some type of trauma during the time of her death. DNA samples were taken and scientists at the University of North Texas
