An Aiken County man is in jail facing charges connected to the exploitation of a minor.
Sean Lewis Zustak, 20, of North Augusta, is charged with 22 counts of second-degre sexual exploitation of a minor, a felony offense punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment on each count, said S.C. Attorney General Alan Wilson in a Thursday news release.
Zustak was arrested Nov. 29. The arrest was made by investigators with the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force and the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators with the Attorney General’s Office and Homeland Security Investigations, both also members of the state’s ICAC Task Force, assisted with the investigation and arrest, Wilson said.
Investigators received a CyberTipline report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children which led them to Zustak.
Investigators state Zustak distributed files of child pornography, according to the release.
The case will be prosecuted by the Attorney General’s Office.
Wilson stressed all defendants are presumed innocent
