Resor child porn case moves to district court

JACKSON — Not much has happened in the three months since Bill Resor was arrested on suspicion of possessing and sharing child pornography.

The case has been continued several times and last week Resor’s attorney motioned to waive his client’s preliminary hearing, which was supposed to happen Thursday in Teton County Circuit Court.

The waiver triggers the court to send the case to district court, where felonies are handled.

Resor, 65, will be arraigned in Teton County District Court if a judge finds probable cause, but he’s not yet been added to the docket.

That’s where Resor will have the chance to enter a plea of guilty or not guilty.

He’s facing four felony counts of sexual exploitation of children.

Special agents with the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigations searched Resor’s house in May 2017 and seized thousands of photos of girls under the age of 18, they said.
