Looks like there’s more bad news for Making A Murderer’s Brendan Dassey

At one stage, it seemed freedom was right around the corner for Brendan Dassey.

One of the main subject’s of Netflix’s popular crime documentary series, Making A Murderer, had his ruling overturned throughout the year, raising hopes that he would soon leave prison.

Now though, it’s been repealed.He and his legal team had the motion for his release declined by a US appeals court.

Brendan was only 16-years-old when he was convicted, and then this year, at the age of 28, after his conviction was overturned, a Chicago court house found he was interviewed properly by police and his confession of murder was not forced.

Equusearch volunteers looking for missing 11-year-old boy in … – KTRK

An 11-year-old boy from southeast Houston has been missing since Sunday night, and volunteers are out now scouring his neighborhood for any sign of him.

Houston police say Sincere Mobbs was last seen at his home in the 5900 block of Southtown Street. His mother says he disappeared after a fight with his younger brother.

Their mother sent Sincere to his room. When she went to check on him, Sincere wasn’t there and the window in the room was open. The window screen and burglar bars were taken off the window.

Houston police requested help from Texas Equusearch. About 25 volunteers are checking wooded areas near Sincere’s home.

His mother said he left without extra food or clothing and does not have a working cell phone.

“I’m only afraid that he got in the car with someone or strayed too far and lost his way,” said Sincere’s mother.

Baby-murderer Matthew Scully-Hicks seen in chilling ‘Jekyll and Hyde’ photos lovingly playing with adopted daughter …

Chilling pictures of a baby killer from Cornwall show him playing with the adorable adopted daughter he brutally murdered.

Matthew Scully-Hicks, who grew up in Delabole, was found guilty of murdering 18-month-old Elsie in November and will have to serve a minimum of 18 years in jail.

The child had been staying with him and his husband Craig in Cardiff for a year when she died in May 2016, two weeks after the couple formally adopted her.

Part-time fitness instructor Scully-Hicks had subjected Elsie to seven months of assaults and beatings while his company director husband was away on business.

Now, pictures of Scully-Hicks have emerged and show him as lovingly cuddling and playing with his little girl Elsie, with a big smile on his face.

BREAKING NEWS: Suspect in Monday armed robberies captured in Albermarle County

WINCHESTER – The suspect in two armed robberies in Winchester on Monday morning was apprehended last night in Albemarle County.

Albermarle County authorities took 41-year-old James Edward Scott into custody about 10 p.m. after they saw a vehicle matching the description of one believed to be connected with the robberies.

The Winchester Police Department issued a be-on-the-lookout alert for the vehicle after the Hilton Garden Inn at 120 Wingate Drive was robbed around 4:35 a.m. and the 7-Eleven at 704 N. Loudoun St. was hit about 7 a.m.

Albemarle authorities searched Scott’s vehicle and found a hat that matched the description of one worn by the suspect in the 7-Eleven robbery.

Scott is being held without bond in Albemarle county.

Putnam County lawyer facing child pornography charge – WSAZ

PUTNAM COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) — A Putnam County lawyer is facing a charge in federal court for a child pornography offense.

According to a federal indictment, Stephen Sluss is charged with receipt of child pornography.

The investigation began in May after an online group chat site alerted the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that user had uploaded an image of possible child porn.

The report ID’d the user name and the user’s IP address.

The address came back as being from Scott Depot.

Later in May, information was gathered from a subpoena for information relating to the user name on the report.

According to the indictment, the subscriber of the IP address when the image was uploaded belonged to Stephen Sluss, Attorney at Law located in the 300 block of Beechwood Estates in Scott Depot.

A special agent went to the location in June where Sluss admitted

GREENSBURG – A Rushville man was arrested Friday on two charges of possession of child pornography, following an investigation that began with a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) in November of 2016, according to police and court records.

Joseph G. Yantiss, 30, was arrested by GPD officers Friday after a year-long investigation concluded. The investigation began last year when a cyber tip from the NCMEC determined that 34 images/videos had been uploaded to a Dropbox account associated with the email address jyantiss1@yahoo.com. The account was reportedly linked to a screen name Brittany Brown.

ISP Detective Ginger Marshall, who works with the Indiana Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, led the investigation. Marshall was able to track Yantiss down to Rushville through internet records and the phone number attached to the email account.
