A Corpus Christi high school band teacher told police his porn addiction prompted him to share a photo of a naked 14-year-old girl online, but said he was unaware she was a minor.

Parker J. Pendergraph allegedly uploaded the graphic image in a chatroom called ChatStep, according to a criminal complaint. Doing so attracted the attention of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

The agency worked with local authorities, who later questioned and arrested him, the document said.

Pendergraph stood before a federal judge in Corpus Christi on Friday. Dressed in orange and shackled at the waist, the Carroll High School band teacher was arrested a day earlier on a federal

Illinois Innocence Project Clears Man Once Accused Of 1995 Fatal Arson

An Illinois man was found “not guilty” today for an arson case dating back to 1995. Bill Amor already spent 22 years in prison for a crime he says he didn’t commit.

Amor lived in Naperville in an apartment he shared with his wife and her mother. A fire at that apartment  in 1995 killed his mother-in-law.  Amor says he was at a movie with his wife when the fire broke out. Law enforcement at the time immediately pinned Amor as a suspect.

He spent two weeks in jail and after hours of grueling questioning, he gave in and offered a false confession. That’s what a lawyer for the Illinois Innocence Project, Lauren Kaeseberg, says.

“Bill wanted to make the questioning stop, which is the phenomena we see with false confessions,” she said. “He presumably thought this would all work itself out later. He was psychologically traumatized.”

Horse rancher in child porn case accused of sexually abusing teen girls – The San Diego Union

It started as a child pornography investigation in 2014, when law enforcement was tipped to two files of lewd images uploaded to Christian Clews’ cellphone.

A search of the Carmel Valley horse ranch he operates and calls home found more — 841 images and 619 videos of child pornography, many depicting prepubescent youth in sadism and bestiality.

Prosecutors allege the investigation unearthed even more darkness at the ranch — a 25-year history of Clews sexually abusing, manipulating and controlling teenage girls.

Clews, 52, denies the abuse allegations, and he has not been charged with crimes of exploitation. But as he stood in San Diego federal court Tuesday to be sentenced for one count each of possession and distribution of child porn — crimes he pleaded guilty to — the claims of abuse dominated the proceeding.

SEE IT: Woman accused of taking newborn Kamiyah Mobley and raising her tries to comfort her after arrest

A woman arrested last year for the abduction of a newborn in Florida nearly 20 years ago tried to comfort the teen she raised in the aftermath of her capture.

Kamiyah Mobley was taken from a Jacksonville hospital just hours after she was born on July 10, 1998. She was raised as Alexis Manigo in South Carolina by Gloria Williams, who was finally caught in early 2017.

In video obtained this week by Florida TV station News 4 Jax, Williams can be seen trying to console a shaken Kamiyah following her arrest.

“It’s OK, it’s OK, it’s OK. You know I love you so much. It’s OK,” Williams can be heard telling Kamiyah.

Northwestern journalism professor accused of misconduct takes leave of absence

A Northwestern University journalism professor accused of misconduct by former students and employees this week is taking a leave of absence from the university, school officials said Thursday.

Alec Klein, a professor in the Medill School of Journalism, will step away from his posts teaching investigative journalism and as director of the Medill Justice Project, officials said.

“Professor Klein has requested a leave of absence from all of his positions at Northwestern until the University completes its investigation, and the University has agreed that is the appropriate action,” a Northwestern spokesman, Alan Cubbage, said in a statement.

The move comes a day after a group of 10 former Medill students and employees of the Justice Project published an open letter listing numerous complaints about Klein’s conduct over the years, including sexual harassment, abusive behavior and bullying. The letter was sent to Medill Dean Bradley J. Hamm, university Provost Jonathan Holloway and about 50
