Gardai and family appeal for help in tracing missing young Dublin woman

A desperate family have issued an urgent appeal to help locate a young woman who was last seen in Dublin city centre on January 5.

Ciara McDermott, aged 19, from Dublin 5, has been missing for 24 hours, after she was last seen in the Temple Bar area.

And now her worried friends and family have been searching in desperation to help locate the missing teen.

A post on social media reads: “Have you seen this young person Ciara McDermott?

“Missing OVER 24hrs.”

The concerned message explains: “Ciara went missing Friday 5/01/18 at 6pm, last seen at 1:30am 6/01/18 in Temple Bar area.

“It is out of character for Ciara.

“Please share this post as family desperate to find her.”

CCTV images issued in fresh appeal for missing Stafford man

Ken Konchalski, aged 52, was last seen on Christmas Eve in Stafford after he went missing from an address in Devon Way, Stafford.

Staffordshire Police have released the images from CCTV footage, where he can be seen at Bargain Booze in Burton Square, Stafford.

In the images that were published in a fresh appeal, he can be seen purchasing something at the till, zipping up his bag and walking away.

They have also asked local residents to check their gardens, outbuildings and sheds for anything which may have been discarded which could be connected to Mr Konchalski.

He is a white male that is 5ft 9in tall with a slim build and brown receding hair who regularly rides a bike.

Gardaí appeal for assistance in two separate missing person cases …

Gardaí in Dublin are seeking the public’s assistance in two separate missing person cases. 

Shane Travers, 38, was last seen at St. James Hospital at 2pm on Monday, December 18. 

He’s described as 5’8″ in height, of medium build, with blue eyes and brown receding hair.

When last seen, he was wearing a black jacket, black cotton tracksuit bottoms and black runners.

Meanwhile, Jason Collins, 16, was last seen in the Blanchardstown Retail Park at around 1.45pm on Saturday, December 16. 

He is described as being 5’4″ with short brown hair and blue eyes and of slim build.

When last seen he was wearing a black Nike runners, grey tracksuit bottoms, black zip up top, white t-shirt and red hoodie under the zip up.

Anyone with information in either case is asked to contact Gardaí.

Gardaí appeal for help locating woman (58) missing since yesterday

GARDAÍ HAVE ASKED for the public’s assistance in locating a missing woman from Dublin.

Osra Connaughton (58) was last seen 11.50am at Foxfield ST John in Raheny, north Dublin yesterday.

She is described as:

  • 5ft 6 in in height
  • With fair hair

When last seen she was wearing:

  • A navy coat with a grey collar
  • Brown shoes
  • Navy tracksuit bottoms

Concerned family and friends issue appeal to trace Will Tiernan missing from Limerick since early hours on Tuesday

CONCERNED family and friends have issued an appeal to trace a man missing from Limerick since the early hours of Tuesday morning.

Nenagh native Will Tiernan was last seen at approximately 2am on Tuesday on Denmark Street in Limerick city.

Pals say it is “completely out of character” for the nurse not to report for rostered duty at work in Limerick.

Will had been out with colleagues at Icon nightclub on Monday and anyone with any information is asked to come forward.

They have started a widespread social media appeal and shared a picture of Will in the jumper he was wearing when last seen.

Making a Murderer’s Brendan Dassey will stay in jail after appeal fails

Brendan Dassey, the man who was jailed as a teenager after, he claims, being coerced into giving a confession, has lost his latest appeal for freedom.

Dassey came to fame with his uncle, Steven Avery, after both were the subject of gripping real crime Netflix documentary Making a Murderer, released in late 2015. 

On Friday, the Chicago federal appeals court overturned a ruling that could have seen Dassey freed from his life sentence.

Appeal issued to trace missing Dublin woman

An appeal has been issued to trace an 82-year-old woman missing from Dublin 7.

Christina Wright was last seen in the early hours of 2 December at Drumalee Drive on North Circular Road.

She is described as being approximately 1.6m (5’4’’) tall, of medium build with blue eyes.

When last seen, Ms Wright was believed to have been wearing a black jacket.
