Authorities search for missing Moncks Corner man

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) — The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a missing person.

Tyreek Jawaun Pettigrew, 20, of Moncks Corner, was last seen at the Fuel Express in Moncks Corner at 3 p.m. on Wednesday February 21.

He’s described as an African-American male, standing at 5’10,” and weighing approximately 150 lbs. Tyreek was wearing a green and black shirt and black long pants before his disappearance.

He was last seen driving a black 2007 Infiniti G35.

An emotional Charleston Mayor John Tecklenburg confirmed Wednesday night that the toddler missing from Johns Island was found safe in Alabama.

Tecklenburg said 4-year-old Heidi Todd was rescued from an abductor in Riverside, Alabama, Wednesday afternoon.

“We give God the glory and our thanks that all our prayers have been answered, and in fact, Heidi Todd is safe in the hands of the FBI,” Tecklenburg said, his voice breaking. “What could have been a day of great tragedy has turned out to be a day of great joy.”

A crowd that had gathered for a vigil for the missing child erupted in cheers as Tecklenburg made the announcement.

He said a police chief in Alabama stopped a suspect and managed to get the girl out of the suspect’s vehicle.

Amber Alert: Authorities search for missing Texas toddler

UPDATE: The Amber Alert has been discontinued, Texas DPS reports that 2-year-old Amia Blanton has been found. 

An Amber Alert has been issued for a 2-year-old Texas girl.

Amia Blanton was last seen wearing a pink and green Nike jacket, green sweatpants and brown boots with fur lining. She has a scar on her right eyebrow. She was last seen in Mesquite, Texas.

Law enforcement officials are also looking for Levita Grant in connection with the child’s disappearance. According to National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, Grant has hair in braids and was last seen wearing a gray jacket and black pants.

Grant is believed to be in a white 2016 Nissan Versa with a Texas license plate of GWK2818.

Thomasville authorities asking for help in search for missing man

THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WCTV) — The Thomasville Police Department is asking for help in locating a missing person who was last seen on Thursday.

According to TPD, Johnny Haugabrook was last seen around 9 p.m., when he left the Western Motel in Thomasville. Officials say he left to visit family, but they haven’t seen him yet.

Authorities are asking that you notify 911 if you see him so they can check on his welfare. The family says Haugabrook has medical issues, and drives a navy blue Hyndai Veracruz with a Georgia tag.
