23-year-old Ormond Beach man charged with 15 counts of possessing child pornography

Volusia County sheriff’s detectives arrested a 23-year-old Ormond Beach man on child pornography charges on Friday, Jan. 12. 

Kevin Stutts, 23, is facing 15 counts of possessing child pornography after detectives executed a search warrant at his home following an online tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. VCSO reports that detectives recovered numerous images and videos in Stutts’ electronic devices depicting children in sexual situations. According to a released statement, some of the images also showed an unknown male’s genitalia in sexually explicit positions with the children, and that others were shown in bondage.

The children in the images ranged from infants to 16 years old. Stutts is in custody at the Volusia County Branch Jail and is held on a $5,000 bond.

Medical examiner identifies body found in Jacksonville Beach marsh as missing woman – Florida Times


A body found Saturday in the marsh of the Intracoastal Waterway near Butler Boulevard in Jacksonville Beach has been positively identified as Suzanne Marie Carlson, according to the medical examiner. Carlson was reported missing from her Sanctuary Lake community home Dec. 28.

The 35-year-old had been the subject of a massive search. The medical examiner has not determined her cause of death as yet, according to the Jacksonville Beach Police Department.

The department has not returned several phone calls over the past few days seeking information on Carlson and if foul play is suspected. Many of her neighbors had expressed frustration in social media over the lack of information coming from the police and

Virginia Beach Police investigating New Year’s Day hit-and-run

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Virginia Beach authorities are investigating a hit-and-run that happened near the intersection of South Independence Boulevard and Bonney Road on New Year’s Day.

Police, fire and emergency medical services personnel responded to the scene around 1:40 a.m.

An investigation revealed that there was a crash involving a white Dodge Durango and a gray Ford Focus. The driver of the Durango fled the scene on foot while the driver of the Ford Focus sustained life threatening injuries.

Authorities are seeking the identity of the driver of the Dodge Durango. The crash is currently being investigated by the Virginia Beach Police Department’s Fatal Crash Team (FACT).

Anyone who witnessed the crash or saw someone flee the scene of the accident is asked to call lead investigator MPO T. Aicherat TAICHER@vbgov.com.

The victim told police that several Amazon packages had been delivered to her residence on Admission Court, and that the suspect had walked up and stolen one of the multiple packages off her porch.

The victims security camera footage shows what appears to be a woman picking up a package from the porch.
