CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. — Police are asking for the public’s help to identify two suspects accused of stealing the purse from an elderly woman at a Chesterfield Kroger grocery store.
The alleged incident happened around 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 12 at the Kroger at 7000 Tim Price Way, near Midlothian Turnpike and Chippenham Parkway.
Police say an 83-year-old woman was leaving a restroom when an unknown man grabbed her purse. The elderly woman attempted to hold on to the purse, but the suspect jerked it away, causing the strap to break and the woman to fall to the ground and hit her head.
A missing elderly woman with dementia who was last seen at the Rindge Market Basket on Monday has been found in Rhode Island, according to police.
Marion Sargent, 75, of Fitzwilliam, was found in Richmond, Rhode Island, on Tuesday around 6 p.m., according to Fitzwilliam police officer Jeffrey Clark. Clark said Sargent was found after a cab driver reported that Sargent had been driving erratically.
“She was triple parked the wrong way in a CVS parking lot,” said Clark. “We were told her physical condition was perfectly fine.”
Sargent was reported missing to Fitzwilliam police on Dec. 4, according to a press release. Sargent had left her residence for Rindge Market Basket at about 3 p.m. and was last seen on surveillance video leaving the store at 5:12 p.m.
Police issued a silver alert and reported her to the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) as a missing person.
Authorities are asking the public to keep an eye out for a 77-year-old Whittier man with dementia and other medical issues who went missing on Friday afternoon, Nov. 24.
Robert Neff was last seen about 4:30 p.m., when he left his home in a red Suzuki Grand Vitara with a California license plate of 4YCR119, Los Angeles County sheriff’s officials said in a written statement.
“The missing person’s family has not seen or heard from him since and are seeking the public’s help,” according to the statement.
Neff is white, 5 feet 10 inches tall, 150 pounds, with gray-and-brown hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue collared shirt, tan shorts, flip flops and eyeglasses.
CHICAGO (CBS) — Police are looking for an 88-year-old man who suffers from dementia who went missing Sunday from the South Loop.
John Allen was last seen about 6:40 p.m. in the 1400 block of South Canal, according to a missing person alert from Chicago Police. He was wearing a white windbreaker, blue jeans, tan socks, tan shoes and a bronze-colored ring on his left hand.

Allen was described as a 5-foot-6, 120-pound black man with a medium complexion, gray hair and blue eyes, police said.

A missing elderly man was located unharmed a little after 4 p.m. Wednesday after multiple agencies began a search in the area around Loop 11 and Farm-to-Market 367.
Cariel Hardin, 76, was found near Simmons and Harlan Veterinary Clinic located at 202 Loop 11 south of Texhoma Christian Care Center, where the search began. He was taken to United Regional Health Care System for examination.
