Desperate Fairfax County family pleads for safe return of missing teen

ALEXANDRIA, VA. – A desperate family pleads for the safe return of their 16-year-old daughter and twin sister.   

Jholie Moussa was last seen by a family member on Friday afternoon at their home in the Mt. Vernon area.  

“We communicate all the time. So, the fact that I haven’t heard anything from my child, that’s not normal,” cried Syreeta Steward, Jholie’s mother. 

Steward live in Texas and flown into town to help find her daughter. Jholie and her twin sister Zhane live with their father Cyrille Moussa.  

“The last time I saw her was in my room, she was doing my hair,” said Zhane Moussa. “She stopped to text someone. After she stops, she says, ‘I have to go, I’ll be back real quick.'”

She said “real quick” several times, Zhane said.    

Jholie walked out the front door and never came back.  

Information sought in child pornography investigation in Fairfax County

An Alexandria-area man faces 20 counts of felony possession of child pornography and investigators are looking for anyone who might have information in the case, according to Fairfax police officials.

Jaeyoung Lee, 29, was arrested on Wednesday after the images were discovered on a device that was traced back to him, according to a news release.

Detectives from the Child Exploitation Unit and the Computer Forensics Unit conducted the investigation.

Lee is being held at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center without bond.

The investigation so far has not revealed that Lee had contact with any of the children in the images, but detectives are asking anyone with information to come forward.

Police searching for critically missing 11-year-old Fairfax County girl …

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. – Police are seeking the public’s help in finding a critically missing child.

Officials are searching for 11-year-old Maria Isabel Zamora, who was last seen around 7 p.m. Thursday in the 7700 block of Durer Court in Fairfax County, Virginia.

Maria is approximately 4’7″ tall and weighs about 105 pounds.

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children defines a critically missing child as “one who is at an elevated risk of danger if not located as soon as possible due to the circumstances surrounding the child’s disappearance.”

Man Found Stabbed to Death in Fairfax County; Police Searching for …

An Alexandria, Virginia, man was found stabbed to death late Saturday night near a wooded area of Fairfax County, Virginia.

Fairfax County police said Luis Ernesto Bonilla, 27, had trauma to his upper body when officers found him in the 7100 block of Fairchild Drive. Detectives said it was unknown how long his body had been at the location.

Police officers, K-9 units and a helicopter were called in to look for clues, but police said they couldn’t find any suspects or witnesses.

Detectives said they are still in the early stages of the investigation.

Fairfax Co. police search for suspect in deadly stabbing

WASHINGTON — A 27-year-old man was fatally stabbed Friday night in Hybla Valley of the Alexandria section of Fairfax.

Fairfax County police say officers on patrol found the victim, Luis Ernesto Bonilla, in a wooded area in the 7100 block of Fairchild Drive near the Meadow Woods apartment complex around 11:15 p.m. Friday.

The area where Bonilla was found is right by Hybla Valley Elementary School and not far from Route One. Bonilla lived a few blocks away on Convair Drive.

Officers provided first aid to the victim until rescue personnel got to the scene, but first aid workers were not unable to revive him. Police don’t know how long the victim had been there.

Police: Fairfax Co. school bus driver, aide accused of assaulting boy with autism

– Two Fairfax County Public Schools employees are accused of assaulting an 11-year-old boy who has autism. According to police, the boy was assaulted on a school bus, and it allegedly happened twice in one week.

Authorities say 62-year-old James Duffy, III, who works as a school bus driver, and 35-year-old Edmund Bailey, a bus aid, assaulted the student on October 11, and again on October 13 on the way to school. They say a staff member witnessed the second assault, and intervened. 

Police say a supervisor was notified, and surveillance video from the bus was also reviewed.

Bailey and Duffy both face assault and battery charges. They turned themselves in to police after warrants were issued for their arrests

Man shot early Sunday in Fairfax County; police seeking information …

Police are looking for information after a shooting early Sunday near a Fairfax County restaurant that left the victim in critical condition, according to a police statement.

A man was shot in the upper body around 2:17 a.m. in the area of the Palenque Restaurant in the 5800 block of Columbia Pike, the release noted. The victim’s injuries are life-threatening.

The suspect was described as a black male between 25 and 30 years old with a thin build. He was wearing blue jeans and a black shirt.

The motive of the crime is unknown and detectives are in the early stages of the investigation, the release noted.
