Gardai and family appeal for help in tracing missing young Dublin woman

A desperate family have issued an urgent appeal to help locate a young woman who was last seen in Dublin city centre on January 5.

Ciara McDermott, aged 19, from Dublin 5, has been missing for 24 hours, after she was last seen in the Temple Bar area.

And now her worried friends and family have been searching in desperation to help locate the missing teen.

A post on social media reads: “Have you seen this young person Ciara McDermott?

“Missing OVER 24hrs.”

The concerned message explains: “Ciara went missing Friday 5/01/18 at 6pm, last seen at 1:30am 6/01/18 in Temple Bar area.

“It is out of character for Ciara.

“Please share this post as family desperate to find her.”

Gardaí appeal for assistance in two separate missing person cases …

Gardaí in Dublin are seeking the public’s assistance in two separate missing person cases. 

Shane Travers, 38, was last seen at St. James Hospital at 2pm on Monday, December 18. 

He’s described as 5’8″ in height, of medium build, with blue eyes and brown receding hair.

When last seen, he was wearing a black jacket, black cotton tracksuit bottoms and black runners.

Meanwhile, Jason Collins, 16, was last seen in the Blanchardstown Retail Park at around 1.45pm on Saturday, December 16. 

He is described as being 5’4″ with short brown hair and blue eyes and of slim build.

When last seen he was wearing a black Nike runners, grey tracksuit bottoms, black zip up top, white t-shirt and red hoodie under the zip up.

Anyone with information in either case is asked to contact Gardaí.

Gardaí appeal for help locating woman (58) missing since yesterday

GARDAÍ HAVE ASKED for the public’s assistance in locating a missing woman from Dublin.

Osra Connaughton (58) was last seen 11.50am at Foxfield ST John in Raheny, north Dublin yesterday.

She is described as:

  • 5ft 6 in in height
  • With fair hair

When last seen she was wearing:

  • A navy coat with a grey collar
  • Brown shoes
  • Navy tracksuit bottoms

Gardaí ask for public’s help in finding boy (13) missing since last week

GARDAÍ HAVE ASKED for the public’s assistance in locating a missing 13-year-old boy.

Jamie Walsh was last seen boarding a bus in Mullingar on route to Dublin at about 5pm on Thursday 7 December.

He is described as:

  • 5 ft 4 in in height
  • Of slight build
  • With brown hair

When last seen, Jamie was wearing:

  • A grey jacket
  • Tracksuit bottoms
  • Black runners

Gardaí Launch Public Appeal For Three Individual Missing Person Cases In Dublin

An Gardaí Síochána has launched a public appeal for assistance in relation to three individual missing people cases in Dublin. 

The first of which is Nathan Kelly (15) who has been missing since Friday November 24. Nathan is being described as 5’6”, of slim build with short brown hair and blue eyes. He was last seen on Temple Street at around 4:30pm on Friday afternoon.

He was believed to be wearing a black track suit top, grey Adidas track suit bottoms and white runners.

The second missing person is Derek Cleary (17) who has been missing from Fairview since Friday November 17. Derek is being described as 5’10” of medium build with short brown hair and blue eyes.He was last seen in Fairview at approximately 9.50pm last Friday.

When last seen he was wearing grey tracksuit shorts, blue Regatta zip top and bright blue Nike runners.

Gardai issue appeal for missing Churchill man

Gardia have today issued a missing person appeal for a Donegal man last seen on September 13.

46-year-old Jerry O’Donnell was last seen in the Churchill area of Donegal on Wednesday, September 13 at around 6.20am.

He is described as being 5’ 7’’ tall, of broad build and with short grey hair and blue eyes.

He is believed to be travelling in a 05 DL registration white Peugeot Partner van.

Gardai locate missing Clare man

GARDAI have located missing Clare man James Shannon “safe and well”.

Gardai sent out the appeal seeking the public’s assistance in tracing the whereabouts of the 50-year-old who was missing from his home in Inagh, Co Clare and was last seen at approximately 1am on Saturday, August 26.

A large search took place to find Mr Shannon and he was located on Tuesday evening.

Gardai, civil defence and locals had been involved in the search after concern had been expressed for Mr Shannon’s safety.

Gardai said “James Shannon has been located safe and well” and thanked the public for its assistance.

Missing person appeal: Gardai seek information on Clare man

GARDAI have made an appeal for information about a missing Clare man, who was last seen on Saturday.

Gardai sent out the appeal seeking the public’s assistance in tracing the whereabouts of 50-year-old man James Shannon.

Mr Shannon is missing from his home in Inagh, Co Clare and was last seen at approximately 1am on Saturday, August 26, gardai said, outlining that he was last seen in the Inagh area.

“He was wearing dark trousers and a dark top and walks with a distinctive limp,” said a spokesperson.

Gardaí upgrade missing person’s case to murder case

Gardaí have renewed an appeal for information after launching a murder inquiry in the case of a man who has been missing since 2011.

Pat Heeran was last seen in Mohill in Co. Leitrim on the 3rd of October and his disappearance was seen as a missing person’s case.

Described as being 5’9” tall with stocky build and fair hair. He was wearing brown shoes, blue jeans and a brown jacket at the time of his disappearance.

This morning, gardaí in Carrick-On-Shannon renewed their appeal for information relating to his disappearance.

Gardaí believe that Mr. Heeran may be dead and died as a result of foul play.

The investigation is focusing on the area where he was last seen, or believed to have been last seen.

Extensive searches are being conducted by members of An Garda Síochána and the Defence Forces.
