Police Investigate Two Deaths in Montgomery County

A woman’s body was found in a pond; a man was killed in an apparent homicide

Montgomery County police are investigating two unrelated deaths in connection with bodies found in the county on Wednesday.

A woman was found dead in a pond in the northern part of the county. Minutes later, miles away in Germantown, police found a man who was the victim of an apparent homicide.

At 3:39 p.m., police came to a pond near the 14200 block of Ballinger Terrace in Burtonsville after receiving a report of a “suspicious situation,” according to a press release. First responders found the remains of an adult woman in the pond.

The body was sent to the medical examiner’s office in Baltimore for an autopsy. Police have not released the name of the woman or other information, saying the investigation is ongoing.

Michigan State Police investigate human remains in case of missing Skelton brothers

The Michigan State Police are investigating new clues from Montana after a box of human remains was discovered in a shed in Missoula.

According to police in Missoula, Montana, human bones and teeth were found in a box in a shed in September. Forensic testing revealed they likely belonged to children between the ages of 2 and 4, 5 and 8, and 6 and 10. 

The remains were compared against the national database and authorities told FOX 2 the Skelton brothers case is one of the more likely scenarios. Missoula police then reached out to Michigan police.

Police investigate robbery at Flagship Inn

One person arrested, police seek second suspect

PETERSBURG — Petersburg police are investigating a robbery that occurred on Sunday, Dec. 10, at the Flagship Inn on South Crater Road.

According to the Petersburg Bureau of Police, around 8 a.m. on Sunday, two suspects set up a victim by luring him to a room at the Flagship Inn using Facebook. Once the victim was in the room, the suspects robbed them. No weapon was displayed, but one suspect mentioned that he had one during the robbery.

Police subsequently arrested Melissa Chatham on a charge of conspiracy to commit robbery. She was arraigned in Petersburg General District Court on Monday and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Feb. 23.

Police are seeking a second person, Sean Wallace (also known as Sean Johnson) on warrants for robbery, conspiracy and abduction.

Police investigate carjacking at Mid Rivers Mall

ST. PETERS, Mo. – The St. Peters Police Department is investigating an assault and carjacking that occurred at Mid Rivers Mall Saturday morning.

Around 11:15 a.m., the victim, 59, told police the suspect approached the passenger side of his car and asked him for a cigarette. While he was distracted, the suspect entered the car, displayed a gun and told the victim to get out.

The victim tried to defend himself and sustained several injuries to his face. When the victim was able to get out of the car, the suspect fled the area in the car, a Chevy Trailblazer.

Officials said within a short period, a tire blew on the car and the suspect abandoned it in an eastbound lane of Interstate 70.

About 20 minutes later, a similar incident occurred in St. Charles County at Ameristar Casino. The suspect in that incident was arrested by police.

The Orangetown Police have been investigating a missing person’s case since 12.01.17; we are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a Henry Cadet, a male black 30 years old. Henry was last seen on November 25 at 7:15AM on Burd Street in Nyack NY in front of AA Taxi. Please view the below video that was taken on that date and time. The male in the video, who we believe is Mr. Cadet is attempting to enter an occupied white Subaru or Kia vehicle.
