Woman’s tragic journey from student to missing person to homicide …

In a saga that played out in less than three days, a young woman found shot to death in a Miami neighborhood over the weekend turned out to be a student who was reported missing from Barry University in Miami Shores.

Investigators now know who the woman is but don’t know who killed her — or why.

On Sunday, Miami police put out a sketch of a woman who had been found shot early Saturday near Northwest 29th Avenue and 12th Street. She had no identification and was brought to a hospital where she died, police said.

Also on Sunday, police in Miami Shores put out a missing person alert to Priscilla Torres, 19, who was reported missing by her mother.
