Police seeking vehicle in Manassas hit-and-run

Manassas police are investigating a hit-and-run wreck earlier this week.

The victim was at the 7-Eleven at 8402 Digges Road around 4:40 p.m. Tuesday when her vehicle was struck on the driver’s side while she was inside the business, police spokesperson Senior Officer C.D. Sharp said Friday.

Surveillance video captured the incident and the driver is described as a heavy-set black male driving a dark Ford extended cab pickup truck.

Suspect sought in burglary at bail bonds office in Manassas

Police released surveillance footage Wednesday of a burglary suspect at a Manassas business park.

The surveillance footage shows the man breaking into Angel’s Bail Bonds in the 9800 block of Business Way around 11:40 a.m. Dec. 19, according to Manassas police.

He reportedly kicked in a side door and rummaged through the office, stealing several items.

The Manassas City Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest in the case. The tip line is 703-330-0330.

Manassas bank robbed Thursday afternoon, suspect at large

Police are searching for a man they say robbed a Manassas bank this afternoon while wearing construction gear.

At 1:27 p.m. on Sept. 14, Manassas City Police Department officers responded to the United Bank at 9626 Center St. for a report of a robbery.

A witness told police a man entered the bank, implied he was armed with a gun and demanded money. The man fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, Manassas police public information officer Charles Sharp said.

The man is described at a white man or possibly Hispanic, about 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet nine inches tall. He was last seen wearing a silver construction hat, a yellow construction vest, a white shirt with dark sleeves and blue jeans.

No injuries were reported, police say.

Daytime burglaries reported in Manassas community

Manassas police are investigating two break-ins Tuesday in the same area, police spokesperson Senior Officer Charles Sharp said.

A resident on the 8900 block of Princeton Park Drive reported a burglar broke in through a rear door of the home and stole jewelry. The break-in occurred between 10 a.m. and 11:30 p.m.

Around the corner, on the 8700 block of Bretton Woods Drive, a homeowner reported someone forced a rear window and stole electronic equipment between 6 a.m. and 4:50 p.m.
