Missing Milton woman last seen in Toronto

Halton Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing Milton resident.

On Wednesday morning, Maria Fernanda De Jesus left a family members residence in Toronto and was last seen driving away in her vehicle. She has not returned home or contacted her family.

This behavior is out of character and family members are now concerned for her well-being.

De Jesus is described as white, 5-foot, 150 lbs, with brown eyes, shoulder length dark brown hair and wearing glasses. She was last seen wearing a brown floral patterned sundress, red flip flops and carrying a red and white purse.

De Jesus is driving a Green 2005 Ford Focus station wagon with Ontario license plate AWDS 144.

Anyone who may have information pertaining to the location of this missing person is asked to call the Halton Regional Police at 905-825-4747 ext. 2410 or ext. 5155.

Halton police say a missing Milton woman has been located in Toronto.

Police did not release any information about her condition, only saying that Toronto police have taken carriage of the investigation and they are no longer involved.

Milton police continue investigation in child abduction attempt

MILTON — Borough police are continuing their investigation into the attempt by two people to abduct two children from a Milton home late Monday morning.

The incident occurred at 130 Georgetown Lane just before noon, according to Milton police.

The attempted child abduction was the second in a little more than a month in the borough. In both cases, the suspects identified themselves as Children and Youth Services workers.

In Monday’s incident, a male knocked on the door of an apartment in the Georgetown Apartment Complex. He was accompanied by a female. They said they were there to remove a 3-year-old boy and an 11-month-old girl, but the grandmother refused to allow the male into the house as he placed his foot against the door to push it open, police said. FDLE arrests Milton man for child pornography

Aaron William Timm is charged with more than two dozen counts involving child pornography.

MILTON — The Florida Department of Law Enforcement has arrested a Milton man on more than two dozen counts involving child pornography.

According to a FDLE news release, Aaron William Timm, 31, was arrested for 28 counts of possession of child pornography.

FDLE reported that agents executed a search warrant at Timm’s residence at 5310 Overbrook Drive on Wednesday and determined he had uploaded multiple child pornography images.

The search warrant stemmed from two cyber tips received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding multiple child pornography images which were uploaded to Timm’s e-mail account.

Timm was booked into the Santa Rosa County Jail and is currently being held without bond. FDLE noted in the release that additional charges are pending a full forensic review of the items seized at the residence.

MILTON — Potential evidence discovered in the cellar of a Milton duplex during a search for a woman missing since 1989  is on its way to a laboratory for analysis.

Sunbury Police Chief Timothy S. Miller, who is spearheading the investigation into the death of Barbara E. Miller (no relation), would not disclose exactly what was sent to the lab. 

He also obtained a second search warrant, this one signed by Northumberland County Judge Charles H. Saylor. Details are unknown because the supporting documents were sealed.

Sunbury Mayor David L. Persing and the other four members of City Council visited the 700 block of North Front Street in Milton to learn first-hand what was taking place.
