OVERLAND PARK, KS (KCTV) –

Police in Kansas City are investigating a possible murder-suicide after a woman’s body was found in a wooded area on Tuesday.

At about 6:39 p.m. on Tuesday, Kansas City Police Department officers say they were called by the Overland Park Police Department who received a social media tip that the body of a missing woman had been seen in the 8300 block of Hillcrest Road.

Officers searched the suggested area by land and by air and the body of a young, white woman was found in a wooded area in the 8500 block of Hillcrest Road.

The posts were made via Facebook by a man named Kareem McCoy-Lee.

In the posts, Lee talks about his plan to kill a woman named Bryanna. He also says, in a later post, “Body across from 8503 Hillcrest Rd, d— gun jammed.”

The posts were later deleted.

MISSING: Overland Park girl with autism may be in northeast Kansas

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. (WIBW) — The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children is asking northeast Kansans to keep an eye out for a missing Overland Park girl who disappeared nearly a month ago.

KCTV5 reports Kate Thompson was last seen on June 9 in the 7800 block of Marty Street, in Overland Park.

The 15 year-old has high-functioning autism and has not taken her medication in over a month.

Kate stands 5’2″ tall and weighs 130 lbs. She has brown hair, blue eyes, and her ears are pierced/

She lives in South Carolina, but was staying in Overland Park with her sister for the summer, KCTV5 reports. The NCMEC says she may be in the area or may have gone to Arkansas.

Body of missing Overland Park woman who was last seen Christmas Day found

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – UPDATE: 12/28/16 3:35 p.m.

A body that was found in the area of west 120th and Long has been identified.

Officials said upon further investigation the woman was identified as 36-year-old Diana C. Sekino. 

No foul play was involved, officials said.

Authorities say Diana C. Sekino, 36, was last seen on December 25 walking on foot in the 12400 block of W. 120th Terrace around 5 p.m. She was wearing a green sweater and black pants. 

Sekino is 5’0″, 100 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes.
