Armed Robbery Suspects Wanted In Silver Spring – Patch

SILVER SPRING, MD — Police are searching for two suspects in an armed robbery of a Shell gas station in Silver Spring.

The two suspects entered the gas station at 100 University Blvd. W. at about 8:31 p.m. Dec. 10. They had their faces concealed, wore all black and one man was armed with a gun, police said.

Police said the men entered the gas station and confronted an adult employee who was working behind the counter. They demanded money and obtained an undisclosed amount of cash from the register, police said. They then fled from the store on foot toward Sutherland Road.

Men Snatch Woman’s Wallet At Bethesda Trader Joe’s – Patch

BETHESDA, MD — Police are searching for two men who allegedly stole a Bethesda woman’s wallet out of her purse at a grocery store and used her credit card to purchase goods at a Best Buy in D.C.

The woman was shopping at Trader Joe’s at 6831 Wisconsin Ave. on Nov. 27 when she was approached by a man who engaged her in conversation, police said. The woman told police she thinks the man was trying to distract her, so she ended the encounter.

She thought the interaction was suspicious, so she checked her purse and noticed her wallet was missing, police said. The woman then learned of multiple fraudulent charges to her credit card from her bank.

Police describe the first suspect as an adult male in his early 30s with dark hair, 6’2″ tall, and weighing between 210 and 230 pounds. The second suspect is described as an adult male

Critical Missing Person: Miyonna Davis From Southeast DC – Patch

WASHINGTON, DC — The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing 15-year-old girl.

Miyonna Davis was last seen in the 1900 block of 15th Street, SE, on Tuesday, June 13, police said. This incident was reported on June 14.

Police describe Davis as a black female with a light complexion, 5’6” in height, 150 pounds, with brown hair, and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a pink shirt, black pants and black sandals.

Missing UH Student’s Jeep Is Found – Midtown Houston, TX Patch

HOUSTON, TX — An Vinh Nguyen, the University of Houston student who has been missing since March 31, is now the subject of an Equusearch initiative. “Now, we’re just waiting for the sheriff’s office to call us and tell us where to look,” Equusearch’s director of search operations, Frank Black., said, as reported by the Houston Chronicle.

The development in the case came about because Nguyen’s vehicle has been located. Police officials declined to say where the 2016 Jeep Renegade was found, saying that doing so could compromise the investigation.

“Every day that passes by is critical for us,” Loc Nguyen, Nguyen’s brother, told KTRK. “We worry a lot. Every night comes, I don’t know where my brother is. It’s really hard.”

Texas Equusearch Resumes Looking For Missing UH Student – Patch

Updated on April 20, 2017: Texas Equusearch has resumed its search for An Vinh Nguyen, the 27-year-old University of Houston student who has been missing since March 31. The organization put out a call for searchers on foot and ATVs, and asked volunteers to convene at the Grace Family Baptist Church on Thursday morning. Critical Missing Person: 11-Year-Old Boy Missing From DC – Patch

WASHINGTON, DC — The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a “critical missing person” — an 11-year-old boy who was last seen Wednesday.

Jaziah Banson was last seen in the 2900 block of 8th St., NE on Wednesday, April 5, 2017.

Police describe Banson as a black male with a light complexion, brow eyes and black hair. He stands at 5-feet and weighs 130 to 140 pounds. Banson was last seen wearing a grey sweater, navy shirt, blue jeans, black and white Barkley tennis shoes. He was carrying a black book bag.

Missing Teen, 14, Located in Oklahoma: Police – Old Town … – Patch

ALEXANDRIA, VA — A teenager from the Alexandria area who was reported missing Friday has turned up in Oklahoma, according to the Fairfax County Police Department.

Jamia Antoinee Holland, 14, was last seen on Feb. 28 in the Alexandria area of Fairfax County, the police said. On Saturday night, they announced that she had been located in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Fairfax County police detectives had worked to locate her with help from the FBI and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

“She is in good health and will be returned home,” the police said. “Detectives will continue to work closely with her and her family.”

With the tragic death of pitcher Yordano Ventura fresh on their minds still, the Kansas City Royals on Thursday announced they’d honor Ventura’s memory for the entire 2017 season with a special patch on their uniform.

Ventura, 25, was killed in an auto accident in the Dominican Republic early Sunday morning. When he was laid to rest earlier this week, many Royals players and staff members were in the Dominican Republic to be a part of the services. Now, they’ll keep Ventura’s spirit with them each game in 2017.
