Police press conference: Reward offered for Sumter man missing since August

Anyone with information about Brailey’s disappearance should call the Sumter Police Department at (803) 436-2700 or call Crime Stoppers at (803) 436-2718 or 1-888-274-6372.

The disappearance of Tommy Brailey, a 52-year-old man who was last seen at a Sumter bar at the end of August, is proving to be a puzzling case for investigators. He reportedly planned to attend a football game the week after he was last seen, and his family and law enforcement close to the case seem to think his absence was not his intention.

Since he has been missing, Brailey’s family has maintained he is someone who always checks in. An impromptu news conference at the Sumter Police Department on Monday helped solidify that point.

Lt. Charles Banghart, an investigator with the department, said Brailey, described by multiple family members as an avid sports fan, had already purchased tickets to the Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Carolina Panthers game

Reward upped to $500000 in Elaine Park missing-person case, new video released

The reward was doubled to $500,000 Friday in the case of Elaine Park, a 20-year-old from La Crescenta who went missing in January and hasn’t been seen since.

The reward for Park was set to expire at noon Friday, but an anonymous donor doubled the previous reward amount of $250,000, while the deadline to claim it was extended to Sept. 24, which is Park’s 21st birthday.

Private investigator Jayden Brant said some tips were received after the reward was increased to $250,000 on Aug. 22, but Park remains missing.

“We’re just making this one last shot to get that information that we need to help us to find her,” Brant said on Friday.

Park was last seen at 6:05 a.m. Jan. 28 when she left the home of her ex-boyfriend in Calabasas.

Missing person case draws reward

DEMING – The Deming Police Department has been working with the family of Leroy Almanza, a Deming man who has been missing since March.  Department officials spoke to the Deming Crime stoppers and they have authorized a reward for information in this case.

It has been over six month since family members have seen or heard from Leroy Grado Almanza. The 40-year-old Deming resident was reported missing in March.

“We last saw him on March 8 at his apartment,” said Richard Almanza, Leroy’s father. “He seemed okay. I did notice he left a half-eaten hamburger in his apartment, and Leroy would never have left a half-eaten hamburger.”

A Missing Persons Report was filed through the Deming Police Department on March 14, and the family has been putting up flyers all over

Crime Solvers Offers Reward for Information on Home Invasion Suspects

Charles County Sheriff’s detectives are seeking the identities of three men responsible for a home invasion and robbery.

On Sunday, September 3, 2017, at approximately 10:30 p.m., three suspects broke into a house in the 3500 block of Elsa Avenue in Waldorf.

They bound two adult residents and stole money and guns. The suspects fled in the victims’ 2015 Dodge Charger, pearl blue in color. The vehicle has not been recovered.

Investigators say the victims were targeted and the crime was not random.

Lt. D. Stahl – a Commander in the Persons Crimes Section of the Criminal Investigations Division – who is also a forensic sketch artist, met with the victims and was able to create composite sketches of the suspects based on the victims’ descriptions.

Anyone with information is asked to call Det. J. McKenzie at (301) 609-6453.

Tipsters wishing to remain anonymous may contact Charles County
