Police Seek Help Identifying Culprits Who Robbed Silver Spring Gas Station

Montgomery County police detectives released a surveillance video Friday from a Dec. 10 armed robbery of a Silver Spring Shell gas station in hopes someone can help identify the two culprits.

The robbery occurred about 8:30 p.m. Dec. 10 at the station 100 University Blvd. West.

According to a police statement, two perpetrators with concealed faces, entered the gas station and confronted an adult employee who was working behind the counter.  One man was armed, police said.

The robbers demanded money and after obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash from the register they fled toward Sutherland Road, police said.

Armored truck guards robbed at gunpoint near ATM (Video)

WASHINGTON — Two armored truck security guards depositing money at an ATM in Beltsville, Maryland, were robbed at gunpoint on Friday and detectives have now released the surveillance video.

Police say the robbery took place last Friday around 10:30 a.m. in the 10600 block of Baltimore Avenue at an ATM outside a bank.

“This was obviously a brazen robbery in the middle of the day,” Prince George’s County police spokeswoman Jennifer Donelan said in a Friday news conference.

The surveillance video shows two armored truck security guards depositing money into the ATM when the armed suspects approached. The employees are forced to the ground before the suspects took the money, then moved to a getaway van.

He robbed a Tacoma bank to get his abducted 7-year-old home. Now he’s been sentenced.

And as a parent, Pierce County Superior Court Judge Edmund Murphy said Friday that he sympathized with a father who robbed a Tacoma bank as part of a failed effort to bring home his kidnapped 7-year-old daughter.

But as a judge, he said he had to protect the public.

“Banks cannot be part of your GoFundMe strategy,” he told David Henry Curry at his sentencing — a reference to the online fundraising site that had been part of Curry’s chaotic bid to retrieve his child.

The girl’s mother fled last year to Indonesia with the child, who is listed on the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children’s website.

Police Seek Help Identifying Man Who Robbed Bank

Montgomery County police have released a surveillance photo of the culprit in a bank robbery that occurred inside a grocery store Tuesday in Wheaton. Police hope someone can identify him.

About 2:18 p.m. Tuesday, Wheaton District officers responded to the PNC Bank inside of the Giant Food grocery store at 2900 University Blvd. West for the report of a bank robbery, police said.

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — A 7-Eleven was robbed by a man with a handgun in Virginia Beach on Thursday night.

According to Virginia Beach Police, the man walked into the convenience store located at 814 Baker Road just before midnight, demanding money with a gun in his hand.

After he got the cash, the man fled the store and ran into the neighborhood behind the store.

No injuries were reported from this incident, but police are asking for help identifying the suspect.

Manassas bank robbed Thursday afternoon, suspect at large

Police are searching for a man they say robbed a Manassas bank this afternoon while wearing construction gear.

At 1:27 p.m. on Sept. 14, Manassas City Police Department officers responded to the United Bank at 9626 Center St. for a report of a robbery.

A witness told police a man entered the bank, implied he was armed with a gun and demanded money. The man fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, Manassas police public information officer Charles Sharp said.

The man is described at a white man or possibly Hispanic, about 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet nine inches tall. He was last seen wearing a silver construction hat, a yellow construction vest, a white shirt with dark sleeves and blue jeans.

No injuries were reported, police say.
