Suspect shot by cop during Chesterfield chase charged in second bank robbery

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. — The bank robbery suspect wounded by an officer during a chase in Chesterfield County Wednesday afternoon is facing a number of charges, including holding up a second bank back in September.

Officials said officers were dispatched for a report of an armed robbery at the Argent Federal Credit Union at 1901 Walmart Way around 2:30 p.m.

Chesterfield police spokeswoman Elizabeth Caroon said the suspect, 45-year-old Allen E. Piner of the 7900 block of Provincetown Drive in Chesterfield, pulled out a gun and demanded cash before running off with an undisclosed amount of money.

Police gave chase after spotting a vehicle with a driver matching the description of the suspect. That pursuit came to an end about four miles away along the 9400 block of Midlothian Turnpike in a field near Pearson Hyundai.

Video taken outside Pearson Hyundai showed police speeding through the car dealership’s parking lot.

Montgomery County police have released surveillance images of an Aug. 28 armed robbery of a 7-Eleven in the Fairland area in hopes the public can identify the culprits.

The robbery occurred about 1:30 a.m. Aug. 28 at the 7-Eleven at 13880 Old Columbia Pike, according to a police statement.

Silver Spring District officers responded to the store for the report of an armed robbery that had just occurred.

Montgomery County police are investigating the Sept. 9 armed robbery of a Germantown Pizza Hut, and today investigators released surveillance photographs of the culprit in hopes the public can help find him.

About 2:26 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, Germantown District police responded to the restaurant, at 19733 Frederick Road, for the report of the armed robbery, police said. During the investigation, detectives found out the robber displayed a handgun, police said. Police said he vaulted the front counter and demanded cash from an employee, who complied with the demands. The culprit obtained an undisclosed amount of cash and fled, police said.

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. — The search for a bank robbery suspect shut down access to John Tyler Community College’s Chester campus for just under an hour Thursday afternoon.

Chesterfield police said a man robbed the Virginia Credit Union at 13025 Jefferson Davis Highway at 2:41 p.m.

Police said the suspect walked up to a teller and passed a note demanding money.

No one was injured.

Chesterfield police search for suspect in 7-Eleven robbery

CHESTERFIELD, Va. (WRIC) — Police are searching for a suspect who robbed a Chesterfield County 7-Eleven early Tuesday morning.

The robbery occurred at the 7-Eleven located at 11530 Midlothian Turnpike just before 4:30 a.m.

No one was injured during the incident.

Police said the suspect approached a store clerk, displayed a pair of scissors, and demanded money. Upon receiving cash, the suspect exited the building and was last seen running north from the store.

The suspect is described by police as black, unknown gender, about 6 feet 2 inches tall with a skinny build. The suspect was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled up, grey sweat pants, and a green bandana covering their face.
