Waldorf man charged with stabbing his mother | WUSA9.com

WALDORF, MD. (WUSA9) – Charles County Sheriff’s detectives arrested a 32-year-old Waldorf man in connection with the murder of his mother.

Mario Marchell Dunn is accused of stabbing his mother, Swanda Ruegenea Dunn, 57, while they were driving home from a relative’s house.

Her body was found on January 11th on Old Washington Road, near Smallwood Drive.

Police said that after the murder, Dunn removed his mother from the vehicle and left her in the roadway.

Loved ones said Swanda Dunn was a long time employee with the DC Department of Corrections and is described as kind, loving, and someone who enjoyed life.

Deputies found the victim with no ID.

The sheriff’s department posted pictures of Swanda Dunn’s tattoos on Facebook to ask for help identifying her body.

Dunn was arrested when police recovered evidence linking him to the crime after serving a search warrant

Fairfax Co. police search for suspect in deadly stabbing

WASHINGTON — A 27-year-old man was fatally stabbed Friday night in Hybla Valley of the Alexandria section of Fairfax.

Fairfax County police say officers on patrol found the victim, Luis Ernesto Bonilla, in a wooded area in the 7100 block of Fairchild Drive near the Meadow Woods apartment complex around 11:15 p.m. Friday.

The area where Bonilla was found is right by Hybla Valley Elementary School and not far from Route One. Bonilla lived a few blocks away on Convair Drive.

Officers provided first aid to the victim until rescue personnel got to the scene, but first aid workers were not unable to revive him. Police don’t know how long the victim had been there.

Suspect Wanted for Stabbing 2 Men on U Street; 1 Victim in Critical Condition

A man is wanted for stabbing two other men who came to the defense of a woman he was arguing with on U Street, police say.

The suspect and a woman dressed in a Marilyn Monroe Halloween costume were arguing loudly in the 1700 block of U Street NW about 2 a.m. Saturday, according to a police report.

Two men across the street overheard the argument and started arguing with the suspect in an effort to intervene. The suspect then crossed the street and stabbed both of them, the report said.

D.C. Fire and EMS took the two victims to hospitals. One man has life-threatening injuries and the other has minor injuries, police said.

“I had no idea what was going on. People were dressed up. So, now that’s, like, scary that that’s the time that all this has happened,” said a man who woke up to the commotion

Police respond to stabbing on South Avenue in Harrisonburg

HARRISONBURG, Va (WHSV) UPDATE: From Harrisonburg Police Department (11:55pm)

Harrisonburg, VA – Officers with the Harrisonburg Police Department (HPD) are currently on the scene of a stabbing in the area of South Avenue, near South Main Street.

On October 25, at approximately 10:45 p.m., officers with HPD were dispatched to this area for a disorderly conduct call for service. Upon their arrival, one male subject was located with a stab wound and was immediately transported to Sentara RMH with life-threatening injuries.
Another subject believed to be involved has been detained at the scene.

HPD believes this incident to be isolated in nature with no additional threat to the public. Detectives with HPD’s Major Crimes Unit are currently investigating the incident.

Chesapeake Beach twins face murder and assault charges for a Sept. 10 incident in which they allegedly stabbed two men in Lusby during a large group fight, killing one man and leaving the other hospitalized with a punctured lung.

Lamarr Termaine Jefferson and Jamarr Jermaine Jefferson, 27, were both charged with one count of murder and double counts of first-degree and second-degree assault, according to online court records.

On Sept. 10, deputies from the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 11500 block of Ropeknot Road in Lusby for the report of a stabbing. Officers determined a number of individuals were involved in the altercation and quickly learned that two people were stabbed and critically injured, a press release from the sheriff’s office states.
