After 30 years were stolen from him, here’s how exoneree Mark Denny lives life now

TRIBECA, Manhattan — Imagine having everything that’s happened to you in the last three decades disappear. Mark Denny doesn’t have to imagine it; it’s exactly what happened to him. He was wrongfully arrested and convicted of a pair of serious felonies, including a sex crime, that he did not commit.

Now, he’s been making the most of the nearly 30 days he’s been out of prison, after spending nearly 30 years there.

“My mind don’t want to do anything but be free,” Denny told PIX11 News. “It’s stubborn to not grasp things I need to know.”

Tuesday was Denny’s 47th birthday, his first since 1987 when he was not behind bars. He celebrated at a Vietnamese restaurant with his attorney from The Innocence Project, which had worked diligently for more than eight years to secure Denny’s release.

He’d been arrested in January of 1988 when he was riding in a car with three other

SOUTHWEST RANCHES — Broward County saw a kidnapping of an unusual nature on Thursday. The abductee? A 3-month-old capuchin monkey named Henry.

Henry’s owner, Carl Minix, returned home to his Southwest Ranches home late after dinner to find the small simian had been taken from a bedroom window by an intruder.

That’s my child,” a distraught Minix said. “I mean, I worked a long time to be able to get him, and it wasn’t an easy task.”

Minix wasn’t overstating things. Florida law stipulates that to keep an animal like Henry, you have to have a permit and 1,000 hours of relevant care experience.

Given the significant investment in time and his emotional bonding with the animal, Minix wasn’t about to take the disappearance lying down. The bereft monkey-dad promptly

‘Brand new, recently stolen’: Inside Tijuana’s sex tourism trade of young children – The San Diego Union

“It’s William from tonight. Precious was weird and fun. I’m already thinking about coming down next Thursday. Please send me pics of 3 or four of the youngest ones so I can choose.”

FBI investigators say William Dixon Adelman, a 51-year-old Studio City man, sent the request to a Tijuana sex broker on July 3, 2015 — the same day border crossing records show he was returning to the U.S. from Mexico.

“Thin, pretty … Like a precious but smaller,” the request continued. “You have a safe apartment? Hotel people would freak out no?”

The broker responded that he had a “good” place in mind, but reservations were needed: “in this place you can take the girls realy (sic) young 9,10,11.”
