Netflix is launching Making A Murderer-style shows about food and business

If you like food and true crime shows (so basically everyone), then Netflix has just the thing for you.

The streaming platform is looking to build on the success of shows such as Making a Murderer and The Keepers with two series focused on the food industry and the business world respectively.

Dirty Money comes from documentary-maker Alex Gibney (Taxi to the Dark Side) and will look at untold stories of scandal and corruption in the business world, according to Netflix.

One of its episodes, entitled The Confidence Man, is focused on Donald Trump and his business career. Directed by Fisher Stevens, the episode is described as “a rollicking profile” of the rise and reign of TRUMP Inc.

Did a zany, Ace Ventura-style Han Solo result in the firing of the film’s directors?

There has been a lot of finger-pointing in the wake of the firing of Han Solo directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, who were last week surprisingly announced to be departing the project despite having been already filming the movie for nearly five months.

A reportedly tyrannical Kathleen Kennedy, head of LucasFilm, was initially pegged as the ‘villain’ in the scenario, until that proved to be false. Blame then gravitated towards Lord and Miller themselves, their relaxed, improvisation-heavy working style clashing badly with the by-the-book attitude of Han Solo screenwriter Lawrence Kasdan.

But it now appears that the first person to suggest Lord and Miller were taking the highly-anticipated spin-off in the wrong direction was none other than Alden Ehrenreich, the actor assuming the role made famous by Harrison Ford in the original Star Wars movies.
