Cyber tip leads to arrest of Waco man for soliciting sex from teenagers – Waco Tribune

A tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children led to the arrest of a Waco man who allegedly solicited teenage girls for sex through online communications, an arrest affidavit states.

David Gonzalez-Estrada, 31, was arrested Monday morning after McLennan County Sheriff’s Office investigators received a cyber tip from NCMEC in July. The tip claimed Gonzalez-Estrada had been speaking to an underage girl on Facebook in an attempt to solicit teenage girls for sexual acts.

Updated 2 minutes ago

A state appeals court has upheld a Westmoreland County judge’s ruling that key pieces of evidence used to convict an Allegheny County man of a brutal rape more than 26 years ago can be tested for DNA.

A three-judge panel of the Pennsylvania Superior Court said bedding, the victim’s underwear and girdle, and evidence collected from a rape kit should be tested.

None of those items was subjected to DNA analysis before the trial that saw John Kunco convicted of a number of offenses in addition to the rape of a 55-year-old woman in her New Kensington home in 1991.

Police said Kunco, now 52, broke into the woman’s apartment, blindfolded her with her underwear, shocked her with a frayed electrical cord, then raped her and forced her to perform sexual acts. Kunco’s accuser identified him at trial
